The Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering is located near the centre of Cassino in Via G. Di Biasio, 43 and is a 15-minute walk from the railway station.
Cassino can be easily reached by:
Car - Cassino is on the Roma-Napoli motorways (A1), Cassino exit is about 4 km from the conference venue. There is a Multi-storey car park just in front of the conference venue (1€ per day)
Train – About every hour a train from Roma to Cassino. Trains and buses are also available from Napoli train station every couple of hours. Timetable and prices are available at http://www.trenitalia.com/
Airplane - The nearest airports are Rome “Fiumicino”, Rome “Ciampino”, and Naples “Capodichino”:
- From Rome Fiumicino Airport take train "Leonardo Express " from the airport to Roma Termini Station (40 minutes), then train Roma-Cassino line FR6 to Cassino (about 1 hour and 30 min. for express trains).
- From Rome Ciampino Airport take bus or taxi to train station “Ciampino”, than Train Ciampino-Cassino FR6 line (about 1 hour and 30 min).
- From Naples Capodichino Airport take Bus line Alibus to Napoli Centrale railway station (Piazza Garibaldi), train Napoli-Cassino line FR6 to Cassino (about 1 hour 30 min.) . Alternatively bus Roma Marche Spa lines direct from Naples Central Station to Cassino.

Location
Cassino is a modern town since it has been completely rebuilt after the destruction during the World War II and it is well known for the Montecassino Abbey. Cassino is located just below the mountain where the Montecassino Abbey is situated within an industrialized area. In November the weather is fine, sunny temperatures above 15°C.
